The Team

Véronique LE GAILLARD  Actress, shadow puppeteer and stage designer.. She discovered shadow theatre in 1997 while taking part in a production for young audiences. In 2000, she joined the company L’Ombrine et Le Fantascope. Since then, she has been creating and directing shadow theatre productions.

She performs and manipulates in all her shows and has written several of them (Malik Marinadol, Rêve d’oiseau, Chair de Lune, Puppa Giganta, La petite musique de Makao). Her work explores emotions through a blend of poetry and humour, dealing with themes such as anger, socialization, birth, death, colonial and family heritage… While she has created many works for children, she is also interested in works for adults with, in 2003 Fantoche et Déraison, in 2016 L’Ombre du Soufi and in 2019 La Dérive des Continents.

She has undertaken professional training with various companies and artists: Gioco Vita in 2002, Jean-Pierre Lescot in 2010, Les Anges au plafond in 2012, Les Rémouleurs in 2014, Joan Baixas and Norbert Götz in 2019. She also trains in singing and acting.

From the beginning, she has been offering shadow theatre workshops for children and adults, and for the past 4 years she has worked with L’Eclectique Théâtre on writing and theatrical interpretation with middle school students as part of the “Parcours laïque et citoyen” of Haute-Garonne.

 

Corinne DUPIN, Actress, singer. She has been singing and acting since 2000. She trained extensively with professional theatre companies. She currently performs with the heavy vocal trio VENT D’HALEINE and the vocal quartet Sottoccupato.

As a puppeteer, actress, and clown in L’Ombrine et Le Fantascope since 2005, she has contributed to the creation of Chair de Lune, Puppa Giganta, as well as to the adaptation of Malik Marinadol, Fantôche et Déraison and La dérive des continents. Since 2012, she has reprised Rêve d’oiseau, plays in La dérive des continents, and also leads shadow theatre workshops. She also performs with Compagnie Médiane-NV (Aveyron), in La tête à Quidam, L’amour médecin, and La stratégie de la seiche. She took part in the 2020 solidarity caravan of alternatives organised by this association.

 

 

 

Badradine REGUIEG – Actor, acting coach, and founder of the theatre Le Fil à Plomb in Toulouse. He trained in classical theatre with René Gouzenne in Toulouse, then in Commedia dell’Arte with Carlo Boso in Paris. In 2020, he trained for two months with Bruno Puzulu: The Actor in front of the Camera.

Since 1996, he has acted in numerous plays including Serial loosers, Le Père Noël est une ordure, Cuisines et dépendances… He has collaborated with Magyd Cherfi as an actor in Dans ma cité, Livret de famille, and recently adapted and performed one of Cherfi’s plays: Vice de Forme, alongside Mouhammad Kamal within L’Eclectique Compagnie.

He currently performs in L’Ombre du Soufi, adapted from Henri Gougaud’s texts with Véronique Le Gaillard, and in his one-man show Sois exotique coco, co-written with Laurent Gil. Both are accompanied by educational workshops. He also performs in MIGRAAANTS by Matei Vișniec with Compagnie du Petit Matin. He regularly runs theatre workshops for children, teenagers and seniors. His company has been associated with L’Ombrine et Le Fantascope since 2017.

 

 

Jonas DANIEL, Creator and sound & light technician, musician. Stage manager at Le Fil à Plomb theatre in Toulouse, he also designs, manipulates lighting and creates sound and music. He works as sound & light technician for companies such as Le Tourbillon and since 2016 for L’Ombrine et Le Fantascope in La petite musique de Makao and La dérive des continents. In the latter, he played an active part in creation, contributing his expertise to the sound and lighting design.

 

 

 

 

Romuald BERRIER, Composer, performer.For two decades, he has explored music and live performance in various forms: electronic compositions, guitar for theatre, songwriting for himself and others, solo, duo, or group performances. He also composed music for an animated short film by P. Carrère. He sings in the trio Vent d’Haleine and composes/ performs in La stratégie de la seiche with association Médiane-NV.

He composed the music for six productions of L’Ombrine et Le Fantascope: Fantôche et Déraison, Bianca de Azulméjas (in which he also acted), Rêve d’oiseau, La colère de Lô, Puppa Giganta, and La petite musique de Makao. His compositions, ranging from softness to rock, carry these shows as much as the staging.

Cécile Naud, actress, screenwriter and storyteller, passed away in 2017. She was involved in actor direction and staging support for almost all of the company’s young audience productions: Rêve d’oiseau, Chair de Lune, La colère de Lô and La petite musique de Makao. Her professional skills and her caring presence were of great support to us.

Momos Papadalice, a figure on the fringe of the artistic world, gave us technical advice and invaluable help (especially on La dérive des continents), getting us out of trouble more than once!

Anna Reich, author. Passionate about cinema, where she worked for many years, she later turned to writing and founded the association De Fille en Récit in Toulouse in 2013. She wrote the play La dérive des continents for L’Ombrine et Le Fantascope.

Sylvie Millet, actress for more than 20 years, works for young audiences and also directs shows. She worked on adapting the text of La dérive des continents, in particular by guiding us through fascinating improvisation work on the characters.

Marc Caussanel, drummer and percussionist, passed away in 2019. He took part in the creation of Chair de Lune, for which he composed the music and lyrics. He also performed both the music and the role of the father in this children’s show created in 2009. He also played music during a parade with Puppa Giganta.

Bruno Renard, sculptor, contributed with finesse and accuracy to the set of La petite musique de Makao. He is always there to fix a broken weld at the last minute or to take an urgent photo.

Léo Tollet worked on the set, and Mad’moiselle Gaïa created the costume for La dérive des continents.
